Kate Casey graduated from Seattle University in 1986 having completed an undergraduate degree in Psychology (1983) and a graduate degree in Counseling with a specialty in the treatment of alcoholism.
Kate spent several years working in an outpatient facility in Bellevue called First Step and then moved into private practice. Kate has been in private practice since 1988. She continues to update her skills and interests by attending workshops, training's, and through consultation and supervision.
Since 2005 Kate have been a volunteer with Evergreen Hospice in Kirkland, combining her interests in animal-assisted therapy and being present with patients and their families dealing with end of life.
In 2008 & 2012, Kate completed a 200-hour training in yoga teaching and philosophy. In addition to her work as a psychotherapist, Kate has also taught yoga and meditation at the Yoga Lodge on Whidbey Island and in Bellevue. "I’ve recently retired from teaching at the Yoga Lodge although I continue with yoga practice and meditation in Bellevue".
Kate joined Working Choices in 2017.
